‘Nasaraduhan kami’: Rufa Mae Quinto unable to finish processing bail after NBI surrender

The camp of actress Rufa Mae Quinto was unable to finish processing her bail on Wednesday (January 8) following her surrender to the National Bureau of Investigation, her lawyer said.

“Unfortunately, nasaraduhan na kami,” Atty. Mary Louise Reyes told ABS-CBN News. “Tomorrow, first thing in the morning, matatapos namin ‘yan.”

Quinto was charged with 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code in relation to the cases filed by investors against skincare company Dermacare.

Based on the report, all cases are bailable at ₱126,000 each, amounting to a total of ₱1.7 million.

Quinto opted to keep mum when sought for comment following their failed attempt to post bail.

“Bawal pa ako magsalita. No comment pa raw. I-a-update ko kayo agad… Bukas may hearing,” the comedienne said.

Reyes meanwhile asserted that Quinto is “a victim,” pointing out that the skincare company still owes her payment for endorsing their products.
